چکیده
Background: The World Health Organization pronounced the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) a pandemic on March 11, 2020. Patients with COVID-19 are more likely to have multisystem thromboembolic events, such as deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary emboli. This study estimates clinical characteristics of patients central retinal occlusion (CRVO) post-COVID-19 infection in three governorates Egypt. Methods: A retrospective randomized was conducted at Al-Azhar University Hospitals. We revised medical records for presented Ophthalmology departments CRVO. considered all above 30 years old both sexes without risk factors occlusion. Results:Central observed post-COVID syndrome younger ages, rather than ordinary cases. most presenting symptoms were fever, dyspnea, cough significant hypoxia elevated D-dimer level. Conclusion:Our asserts importance investigation into ocular complications associated COVID-19. Physicians should be vigilant acute visual patients. thromboembolism screened presumed etiology. may an important prognostic value severity. Anti-coagulant medications required long-term basis after infections. Keywords: symptoms, ophthalmic evaluation,

Investigating the frequency characteristics of the electroretinogram signal in patients with central retinal vein occlusion
Background: Central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) is the second most common retinal vascular disorder after diabetic retinopathy. In this study, we tried to examine the potentials of time-frequency methods for differentiating the eyes with CRVO. Materials and methods: Twenty patients with unilateral CRVO were included in this study. Their contralateral normal eyes were considered as the control...
متن کاملprevalence of hyperhomocysteinemia in patients with retinal vein occlusion
recently multiple studies have shown that elevated homocysteine levels may be associated with ophthalmic vascular disease. to investigate the role of high plasma levels of homocysteine in the patients with retinal vein occlusion, 21 patients with retinal vein occlusion (rvo) and 20 age and sex matched controls without rvo were included in this retrospective case–control study. information regar...
متن کاملRole of Transthoracic Echocardiography in the Evaluation of Patients with Retinal Vein Occlusion
Introduction: Retinal vein occlusion is a common vascular disorder disrupting vision. Two basic types of RVO are branch retinal vein occlusion and central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). Retinal vein occlusion is a multifactor process including systemic illness and local retinal factors.RVO may be associated with atherosclerotic risk factors. We analyzed the role of 2 dimensional transthor...
متن کاملCentral Retinal Vein Occlusion ( CRVO ) — Visual Disorder in Patients of Middle and Advanced Age —
Patients with central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) have retinal hemorrhages in all four retinal quadrants around the posterior pole, with a markedly dilated and tortuous venous system. CRVO frequently develops in patients at 60–69 years of age, and approximately 90% of the incidence is noted in patients at 50 years of age or older. It usually occurs in one eye, but occasionally in both eyes if...

A 41-year-old man was referred with a complaint of visual loss in his left eye and his best corrected visual acuity was 20/80. Slit lamp examination showed arborizing conjunctival vessels and dry eye. Fundus examination and fluorescein angiography revealed a non-ischemic central retinal vein occlusion. Cardiovascular, rheumatologic, and hematologic work up showed no abnormal findings. An ascert...
